I've made a few seaside lots and I must admit I LOVE making them. I have usually gone with what I term a *cartoon* coloured sea - but not this time and I think it turned out rather spiffy =) While building this the song that goes *Oh I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside...Oh I Do Like To Be Beside the Seeeeeeeeea...* kept running through my head. This community lot provides just about everything a Sim could want and there is scope for more.

Set on 3 tiers reaching up from the sidewalk to a boardwalk along the sea wall and stretching out across the sand and sea along a jetty. At the end of the jetty is a diving board for a refreshing dip in the beautiful sea and of course a ladder for getting out. Special invisible barriers ensure your Sim won't start swimming into the sand ;) The outdoor market area on the first tier boasts one shop selling grocery items and another selling clothing, perfumes, games and magazines. There is also a flower stand but it seems the owner has done a bunk for the moment - but it does add extra colour and life. The second tier houses an outdoor coffeeshop and patisserrie and your Sims can practice their karaoke skills and wow their friends! Across the way is a full a'la carte restaurant and bar complete with a jukebox and small dancefloor. The third tier or *boardwalk* has access to the jetty and swimming, separate mens and womens *facilities* and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a swim. There are also 2 sets of stairs leading down to the beach where there is plenty of room to add grill areas or to stage a nightime bonfire and singalong.
